In Walton’s own words:
“Love’s evolution—whether parental, romantic, platonic, or sentimental—shapes our self-representation I wanted to explore the emotional cycles we suppress and the parts of ourselves we leave unacknowledged in the name of image or societal expectation. Through this work, I examine how love—in all its forms —quietly transforms us. Even long after it ends, love continues to shape our sense of self.”
Attendees will be immersed in an atmosphere of quiet intensity and emotional resonance, guided by Walton’s prose and sound design.
“Beck is devoted to transforming Knoxville's artistic and cultural landscape by providing inspiring and enlightening experiences for our community,” said Rev. Reneé Kesler, President of Beck. “We are honored to collaborate with Lee, an Austin-East High School graduate, as she travels from the vibrant streets of New York to share her debut multimedia project with her beloved hometown of Knoxville.”
